PTSD

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after experiencing or witnessing a deeply traumatic event. It’s common for people with PTSD to relive the trauma through vivid flashbacks, nightmares, and intrusive thoughts, which can trigger overwhelming emotions, physical reactions, or intense fear. In addition to these distressing symptoms, PTSD often brings feelings of hypervigilance, emotional numbness, and avoidance, leading individuals to withdraw from situations or people that remind them of the trauma. This constant state of tension and heightened alertness can make it difficult to trust, feel safe, or enjoy life fully, straining relationships, work, and personal fulfillment.

In my practice, I provide trauma-sensitive, empathetic care designed to address the unique challenges of PTSD. We’ll take the time to process the trauma at your own pace, using therapeutic techniques that help desensitize the emotional impact of past events, allowing you to regain a sense of safety and control. This may involve trauma-focused therapy methods, mindfulness practices, and coping strategies tailored to manage symptoms effectively. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel understood, valued, and supported. Together, we’ll work on building resilience and empowering you to reclaim a sense of peace, reconnect with yourself and others, and move toward a brighter, more hopeful future.

You don’t have to face the effects of trauma alone.
